Unfortunately even JOFs (see hat article) have to work, so reluctantly, I packed my bags and headed off to Israel. Times are tough as you can see, What I was impressed by was the fact that there is surf on this beach at Herzliyyah, north of Tel-Aviv and there were a few dudes out there enjoying it.
I’m glad I don’t live there though. I was having lunch on the marina and at the next table was a young soldier with his girlfriend. No problem except that he had an M16 on his knees during the meal. Nearly put me off my prawns. (Prawns aren’t kosher by the way – all the more for us gentiles.)
